How to pass the family photo album down to my children
I asked that very question when I realised that only my wife and me own all the photos of our kids.
Our older daughter turned 20 this year. Last year she moved to another city to study at the college. She took some stuff with her like clothes, books, the dwarf rabbit for sure.
I remembered that I moved out from the fathers home I was given the photo book which my parents had prepared for me. Nowadays the photos are in digital so it should not be a problem. We are sharing a lot of photos to each other, we had Shared Library in Photos app on our smartphones. However, I would like her to consider the photos as her own.
Actually passing down the ownership is a cornerstone of the Family Album service we are building.
How it works. There are three roles in the family profile:
Owner. Can manage family members as well as add and edit/delete any photos in the family album;
Creator. Can add photos. Can edit/delete only the ones added by him/her;
Viewer. Can view the photos only.
It is quite convenient.

Our youngest daughter is 8, she is only allowed to view our photos.
By the way Ann likes to get stuck in the family album.
Finally our oldest daughter. A year ago she could only add photos to our family album.
Now she is the owner, as are my wife and I.
Later on Ann will be promoted the same way 🙂
